KRLF™ FAQ & Parent Resource Center
Answers to common questions about KRLF™ Math Snapshot™, learning foundations, and resources designed to help families support student growth.
What is the KRLF™ Math Snapshot™?
The KRLF™ Math Snapshot™ is a focused review of your child's current math performance, learning behaviors, and foundational skill gaps. Parents receive a written summary, key observations, and actionable next steps.
Who is the Snapshot designed for?
The Snapshot is designed for students who may be struggling in math, performing below grade level, homeschooling, experiencing learning differences, or needing a clearer understanding of current strengths and foundational skill gaps.
Is this tutoring?
No. The Snapshot is an assessment and review process. It helps identify learning strengths, foundational gaps, and recommended next steps. It does not include ongoing tutoring services.
What will I receive?
Families receive:

• Snapshot Summary Report
• Foundational Skill Observations
• Learning Behavior Notes
• Executive Function Observations
• Recommended Next Steps
How long does the process take?
Most Snapshot sessions take approximately 45–60 minutes. After the review is completed, families receive their written summary and recommendations.
Does my child need a diagnosis to participate?
No. The Snapshot is available to any student. It is designed to help families better understand current learning needs regardless of whether a formal diagnosis exists.
Is KRLF™ only for elementary students?
No. KRLF™ serves students from elementary through high school because learning foundations matter at every age.
What ages do you serve?
KRLF™ is designed for students who need stronger learning foundations and can be used with learners across a wide age range.

While many families seek support during the elementary and middle school years, KRLF™ also works well for older students who are performing below grade level, struggling with foundational skills, or experiencing ongoing academic challenges.

KRLF™ is foundation-based, not grade-based. Rather than focusing only on a student's current grade, we focus on identifying the skills underneath the struggle and helping families understand what may be preventing progress.
KRLF™ may be especially helpful for:

• Elementary, middle school, and high school students with academic gaps
• Homeschool learners
• Students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, executive function challenges, or other learning differences
• Families seeking a clearer understanding of learning strengths and needs
What happens after the Snapshot?`
Families receive clear recommendations and can decide which next steps best fit their child's needs. The goal is to provide clarity, direction, and confidence moving forward.
Why not just use grades or test scores?
Grades and test scores often show that a student is struggling, but they do not always explain why. KRLF™ focuses on identifying foundational skills, learning behaviors, and patterns that may be preventing progress so families can make more informed decisions about next steps.
